Milan Fashion Week: Where to Stay Near the Shows

Publicado el ·por Cosmica Rentals Team·2 min read

Milan Fashion Week happens twice a year — February and September — and the city fills up fast. Hotel prices triple, restaurants require reservations weeks ahead, and taxis become nearly impossible. With the right apartment in the right location, you can skip most of this chaos.

Where the Shows Happen

Most runway shows and presentations take place in a corridor stretching from Via Montenapoleone and the Quadrilatero della Moda down to the Fondazione Prada in the south. Key venues include Palazzo Reale, the Triennale, Camera Nazionale della Moda headquarters, and various industrial spaces in the Tortona district.

Best Areas to Stay

Porta Romana sits midway between the city center and Fondazione Prada, giving you quick access to both. Navigli is a fifteen-minute ride from Tortona and offers excellent dining options after evening shows. Brera puts you walking distance from Via Montenapoleone and the luxury showrooms.

Transport Tips

The Milan Metro runs frequently and covers most Fashion Week venues. Line 3 (yellow) connects Porta Romana to the center. Line 2 (green) reaches the Tortona area via Porta Genova station. During Fashion Week, we recommend avoiding taxis during peak hours (9-11 AM and 6-8 PM) and using the metro or walking instead.

Why an Apartment Beats a Hotel

Fashion Week means early mornings and late nights. An apartment gives you space to prepare outfits, host pre-show drinks, and decompress without the formality of a hotel lobby. You get a washing machine for quick garment refreshes and a kitchen for those inevitable late-night snacks.

Book Early, Book Direct

Accommodation during Fashion Week fills up months in advance. Our Milan apartments are available for direct booking with no OTA markups. We recommend reserving at least eight weeks before the event for the best selection.
